Glossary

Canonical definitions used across Token documentation. Short, strict, and forward-only.

Section: Token
Canonical reference
This glossary defines the canonical meaning of terms used across Token documentation. If the same term appears elsewhere with inconsistent phrasing, this page takes precedence.

Purpose

This glossary exists to reduce ambiguity across the Token documentation set. The goal is not long explanation. The goal is stable language that keeps policy pages aligned and prevents small wording differences from creating larger misunderstandings.

Each entry is intentionally compact and includes a “Not” clause, because many token terms are often misread through assumptions imported from other projects. This glossary makes those boundaries explicit.

How to Read Entries

Each entry follows the same structure so readers can move quickly and still avoid category mistakes.

  • Definition: the canonical meaning in one or two sentences.
  • Not: what the term does not imply.
  • Where used: the pages where the term is operationally relevant.
  • Related: nearby terms that help prevent misinterpretation.

Quick Index

Tip: use browser find (Ctrl/Cmd+F). Common search terms include PCR, liquidity, sell tax, vesting, and enableTrading.

Forward-only policy
Definitions are not rewritten retroactively. If meaning must change, a new entry or updated canonical record is appended and older wording is marked as deprecated for traceability.

Terms We Avoid

For clarity and safety, the following phrases are not used as official terminology in PVERSE Token documentation:

  • “Guaranteed profit / guaranteed yield” — outcomes are not guaranteed.
  • “Risk-free” — markets and systems carry risk.
  • “Official price” — markets determine price.
  • “Fixed APR” — no fixed-rate yield promise is expressed by token docs.
  • “Buyback guarantee” — policy may route revenue to liquidity, but does not guarantee buybacks.
If you see ambiguity
If a word or phrase appears unclear elsewhere in Token docs, treat this glossary as the canonical reference and prefer the “Not” clauses when resolving ambiguity.
